"Unique Sand Dollar" is an original hand-painted mixed media piece consisting of acrylic paint and colored pencil on canvas, by Artist, L. Gilles.

Note from the Artist:

I have a vague memory of my mom finding sand dollars on the beach when we lived in California, as a kid. I don't remember where she found them, but later on in my life while vacationing in California, I came across some sand dollars on the beach and it filled me with nostalgia recalling that memory. This particular sand dollar was so unique and looked as though a barnacle must've attached itself to the sand dollar at some point. I painted this sand dollar in honor of my mom and the memories we made on our visits to the ocean together. I'm thankful for her adventurous and compassionate spirit and the wild and wonderful places she brought us with to explore as children.

I loved creating this painting and adding in some fun character elements! My hope is that you'll find it's a cool, unique piece of artwork and that you'll be able to enjoy it in any room of your lake home, beach house, cabin, lodge, home, office, or in your business for many years to come.

● Stretched canvas
● Painted using acrylic paints, interior paint, and colored pencil
● Sealed with a gloss varnish to help ensure your painting is protected for years to come
● Painting is hung with a wire that is mounted on the back

The front of the painting is signed.

The back of the canvas is hand signed, dated, and titled.

The colors in the painting are aqua blue, tan, beige, cream, and light bronze.
