Note from the Artist:
Spending time in nature photographing wildlife, and painting the wildlife I've encountered are two of my favorite passions. I wanted to create a new series of creative modern/contemporary style wildlife paintings, from recent photos I had taken. A handsome male bison in Custer State Park was the perfect subject for this painting. Much of the landscape around him had burnt in a recent wildfire and many charred trees remained. I imagine the fiery will to survive that raged inside the bison burned as big as the wildfire that consumed much of the land around him.

The back of the canvas is hand signed, dated, and titled.
The background colors are black and gold.
The colors on the bison / buffalo are red, orange, yellow, black, white, and gold.
