"Set Free - Monarch Wing Study" is an original hand-painted acrylic painting on canvas of a Monarch butterfly, by contemporary wildlife Artist, L. Gilles.

Note from the Artist:

I absolutely love wildlife and nature and have been taking photos of wildlife for several years now in order to gather reference photos for paintings. Many years ago I found a Monarch butterfly on our farm that looked like it was struggling. It was a really windy day, so I found an area out of the wind and gently transferring the butterfly to a place where it could rest and hopefully regain it's strength. I took several photos of him, then left him to rest peacefully.

I loved creating this painting and adding in some fun texture! My hope is that you'll find it unique, creative, and striking and that you'll be able to enjoy this original artwork in any room of your home, cabin, lodge, office, or business for many years to come.

● Stretched canvas
● Painted using heavy body acrylic paints
● Sealed with an archival gloss varnish to help ensure your painting is protected for years to come
● Painting is hung with a wire that is mounted on the back

The back of the canvas is hand signed, dated, and titled.

The colors in the painting are black, orange, yellow, gold, white, and purple.
